6TH GRADE SCIENCE

This year in science, your student will be learning about lab safety, matter and energy, chemistry, resources, alternate forms of energy, energy transformationns, biology, physics, geology, and space. We will embark on an exciting journey into science and investigate many of its features.

This year is the first year your students will be taught "middle school" content standards and will prepare them for middle school and high school, along with many necessary skills they will need to continue their learning and for success in their future goals and ventures. It is important to remember that this is a science lab and that students will be expected to exhibit responsibility and meet all expectations at all times to ensure safety and learning to be adequately met.

As we embark on our journey, I am excited to work with your students on our science standards and helping them on their path of achieving academic excellence and reaching their goals. I look forward to seeing them grow and prosper throughout the year!
